Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Empire

Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Empire

The Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Empire consists of four separate units in Abingdon, VA, Bristol, VA, Bristol, TN and Bluff City, TN that accommodate four school systems in our area. Every location provides a safe environment staffed by caring adult mentors and volunteers. Our mission is to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Club members ages 5 to 18 enjoy after-school and summer programs that allow them to develop lasting friendships and empower them to make great futures a reality. All Boys & Girls Club programs are based on a youth development strategy that builds self-confidence and self-esteem and fosters a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence. We provide homework assistance throughout the school year and every day our kids have a fresh hot meal provided by Feeding SWVA as one of our many partners.

We are honored to be recipients of the 21st CCLC grant at both Virginia sites and the Bluff City, TN site. Over the past year we have had 600 youth come through our doors across all of our sites.

Thank you to the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in continuing to be a partner as we continue to help the kids that need us most within Washington County, VA and surrounding counties.
